Resolution
1. Caching folders and files using in file-based cache are usually located under <TDV Install DIR>\tmp\cache.
2. When using TDV Discovery <TDV Install DIR>/tmp/discovery/index is used for storing indexes.
3. When a query is known to require a lot of memory (exceeding the amount allowed for a single query) it is always more efficient to force that query to write to disk. A performance advantage is gained by directly forcing the process to write to disk from the beginning, which avoids redundant read/write cycles and excessive memory usage. See FORCE_DISK in the TDV Reference Guide. When using the FORCE_DISK option the query engine will use disk ( under the TDV_DIR>/tmp ) instead of memory for temporary storage
of data .
This <TDV Install DIR>\tmp folder can be configured to use another path, by using the “Administration\Configuration\Files\Temp Directory” config item in the studio.
