I am unable to install and register Statistica and I have a DBR-type installation.  How can I fix this?

Notes:  Domain-based registration requires a specific email address, with a specific domain, e.g. @universityname.edu.  Registration will fail if the domain used does not match what is expected. No publicly used domains are allowed (gmail, yahoo, etc.).   Internet connectivity is required during installation.  A validation email is sent out with a link to click to validate the email.   Email validation must be complete before installation will continue.

Failure to register is caused by:

• Incorrect email entered in the registration form
• Incorrect email domain entered during order
• Incorrect spelling of email address (typographic error)
• No Internet connection (or connectivity problems)
• Validation email not found

Incorrect email entered in registration form

Make sure the correct email, with the correct domain, is used during registration.

Incorrect email domain entered during order (Error code: 5)

If the correct email, with the correct domain, is used during registration but registration fails with Error code: 5,  check with your system administrator to confirm which domain was provided when the order was placed.  If the correct domain was not included in the order, contact Statistica sales to change or add the domain to the order.

Incorrect spelling of email address (typographical error)

If the incorrect email address was typed in, click "Back" and fix the error in the email address, then continue.  A validation email address will be sent again. 

No Internet connection (or connectivity problems)

Make sure the computer is connected to the Internet (browse to a webpage to verify), then continue or re-start the installation.  A common error that occurs is "Error -1."  Please see Error: "Error -1" is observed when attempting to register for the Statistica license to resolve this error, then continue the installation. 

Validation email not found

Validation emails can be placed in SPAM folders or stopped by SPAM appliances or other SPAM related tools.  Check the SPAM folder/appliance/tool and allow this email to go through to "Inbox" (or move the email to the "Inbox").  Click on the link in the email to complete validation.  Then continue the installation.
