For commercial installs, an "Invalid Data" message may occur during:
  • Installs of Statistica
  • Updating the license
Invalid data error

Issue/Introduction

This article discusses some known issues with the "Invalid Data" when entering installation keys for Statistica

Environment

Windows operating systems only.

Resolution

Resolution One
When installing Statistica, the installation keys must correspond to the version for which the installation keys were issued.  Prior to version 13.0, Statistica install keys only worked with one version.  The keys were created for the latest version available, thus keys created when V12.5 was the latest version will only work with V12.5.    Thus make sure the installation keys and the installer files used match, i.e. Statistica 12.5 keys can only be used to install V12.5 (or 12.5.192.5 as indicated by the MSI file in the Install64 or Install32 folder).

Resolution Two
If an attempt to update the license file produces the error because what is entered is not an Access Code:
Access Code

Note:  Access Codes are not provided for perpetual licenses.  If using a temporary license file, or a 14 day license file, likely the problem is registration has not been completed.  Complete the registration manually and apply the license file.  See  How to register for the full Statistica license file manually.

If the install using a term license,  is not an academic license through OnTheHub, and support maintenance is current,  request an Access Code through support here.
