Description
After downloading the Statistica installer zipped folder, running the setup.exe file folder gives the following error: "error reading setup initialization."
Cause: The zipped Installer file (which will appear as a folder with a zipper) is not unzipped.

Resolution
Unzip the zipped installer file by following the instructions for WinZip here: A quick example of how to unzip with WinZip. For to unzip the Statistica folder with other utilities, please see their support instructions.
Another Solution
1. Right-click on the zipped installer file (e.g. TIB_stat_13.4.0_win).
2. Select "Extract All....":
3. Choose the location to extract the files or keep the default location, then click the "Extract" button:
4. The extracted files will appear. Double click the folder to open:
Double-click the CDSTART.exe to begin the installation when ready:
