The following error message is received when trying to use the Change Data Capture adapter with SQL Server Standard Edition:
"Change data capture is only available in the Enterprise, Developer, and Enterprise Evaluation editions."

Issue/Introduction
An error message "Change data capture is only available in the Enterprise, Developer, and Enterprise Evaluation editions." is received when trying to use the Change Data Capture adapter.
Resolution
This message is expected. The Change Data Capture adapter is only supported for the SQL Server Enterprise, Developer, and Enterprise Evaluation editions. This message is from an exception thrown by the JDBC layer, which presumably comes from SQL Server. Note that "Change Data Capture" is a feature that needs to be enabled on SQL Server, and is not supported in the Standard edition.
