1 . Login to the corresponding server where the error is observed as an Administrator. For example, if an error is in Webstatistica, login to the Webstatistica server (and so on)
2. Launch Control Panel >>System and Security>> Administrative Tools >> Event Viewer.
3. Expand - Application and Services Logs >>Statsoft.
4. Select Relevant logs and click on Save Selected Events and save the .evtx file to a location of choice.
5. Expand Windows Logs>>Application and repeat Step 4 to save relevant logs from the time frame that the error of interest was logged in the Statsoft event logs in Step 4. This information is useful to know if there was interaction with another application that caused the issue. For example - Database Service had stopped, Anti-virus was probing the port/ temp files created by Webstatistica etc.
6. Expand Windows Logs>>System and repeat Step 4 to save relevant logs from the time frame that the error of interest was logged in the Statsoft event logs in Step 4. This information is useful to know if there was interaction between System events and Statistica failing - e.g. Restrictions from Group policy, errors from Component Services might be relevant in troubleshooting errors from the Statistica application components.
