Excel Client Times Out after 60 Seconds

Description
While a long running query is executed from an Excel client tool, Excel shows this error message: The request timed out after 60 seconds.
Issue/Introduction
This document describes the uses of MS Excel as an Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) client, connecting to Tibco Data Virtualization (TDV).
Resolution
By default, ODBC client timeouts are set to infinite, whether on the TDV server or from an individual DSN. Sixty seconds also happens to be the default execution timeout for Excel that might limit your usage.
You can alter this setting for each Excel client, by editing this default setting in the windows registry for each client host.
Increase the value for QueryTimeout, then rerun your query from Excel.
