Description
After installing TIBCO Scribe® Insight, either on a new installation or a clean installation for an upgrade, you may see an error message when attempting to configure the TIBCO Scribe® Console:
Error setting data. Failed to create ScribeQueueMgr Object on (server name)
This Error occurs due to a permissions issue with the Log On User set to run the TIBCO Scribe® Services.

Issue/Introduction
During a new installation of Scribe or a clean install, a customer receives message "Error setting data. Failed to create ScribeQueueMgr Object on (server name)" This is due to the service user not having the appropriate permissions
Resolution
- Verify the Log On User set to run the 5 TIBCO Scribe® services is a member of the Local Administrators Group, and a member of the Scribe Console Users Group.
- Verify the user is selected to be the db_owner of the SCRIBEINTERNAL database in SQL.
- Once changes have been made, if you are logged into the server as this user, log off and back into the server for the group policy to be updated.
- Restart the 5 TIBCO Scribe® Services:
