Description

Folders with names that start with Rtmp* are created when an open source R script is called through TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services (TSSS), and are not removed.

The following screenshot shows examples of such file names:

User-added image

Such Rtmp* folders are only created in a TSSS instance that has been configured to use open source R as its statistical engine.  Rtmp* folders are not created in a TSSS instance that uses TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for R (TERR) as its statistical engine.

Cause:
The way TSSS shuts down the script's open source R session doesn't allow the R engine to delete the session's Rtmp* temporary directory.  This allows such Rtmp* directories to accumulate.
