Description
The memory requirements for Java have changed in version 4.1.0 which affects the availability of the GUI.
Issue/Introduction
The UI does not load properly DS2010 after upgrading to version 4.1.0 due to changing memory requirements. This article provides the resolution.
Resolution
1. SSH to the DSM server machine and login as root.
2. cd /user/local/dsm-server/conf
3. Open the file server-custom.properties
4. Add the following in a new line:
JAVA_MAX_MEM=1024m
5. Save the changes
6. Restart the DSM Server:
/etc/init.d/dsm-server restart
You will now be able to login to the DS2010 via the UI.
