Description

TIBCO team uses a new notification system to keep our TIBCO Cloud Service customers informed about scheduled maintenance and service events. This new notification system is available across all its cloud services(cloud.tibco.com) to publish alerts and announcements pertaining to cloud platforms. The URL is https://status.cloud.tibco.com

Q: What is the benefit of this new platform to customers?

Ans: The new platform will allow you to view and subscribe to receive information via email on any ongoing service event.

Q: What should I do as a TIBCO customer?

Ans: We would highly recommend you to create an internal distribution list (D-list) for people who are interested in receiving service notifications, visit status.cloud.tibco.com and subscribe to receive notifications via that D-list email.

Q: Anything else I need to do?

Ans: You should also review your internal processes and run-books to ensure that they are brought current. Please notify your NOC or Operations team/s about this upcoming change.

Q: Which email address will be used to send these notifications/alerts?

Ans: The email address used to send this notification will be: noreply-cloud@tibco.com

Q: What if I don't get a chance to subscribe to the new system before the go-live?

Ans: You can subscribe to the status.cloud.tibco.com anytime. All notifications will be pushed automatically to only the users who have subscribed for this service. You can go to the status page directly and see the maintenance announcement.

Q: Can I use a distribution list? What is the recommended best practice from TIBCO?

Ans: Best practice would be to create an external facing Distribution list in your organization and use that to subscribe. This way you can manage who gets notified internally and can easily hook it up with your internal processes.

Q: How many users from my organization can subscribe?

Ans: We highly recommend the distribution list approach we described above to take full control and easy maintenance from your side

Q: Would TIBCO be able to trace recipients from my organization for any specific event after go-live?

Ans: With the adoption of the new system, unfortunately, we will lose the ability to trace recipients

Q: What is the process to opt out from this subscription?

Ans: End-users can unsubscribe from Email notifications by clicking Unsubscribe on the email (this is only for pages that do not have Component Subscriptions enabled). For pages that do have Component Subscriptions enabled, the subscriber needs to click the 'Manage Subscriptions' link in an email notification and then fully opt-out of all component subscriptions on the following screen.

Q: Who should I contact if I have more questions regarding this upcoming change or having trouble viewing the webpage or getting notifications?

Ans: If you have any questions or concerns, please contact TIBCO support via Support portal at https://support.tibco.com.
