Issue/Introduction

How is the "Running Time" and "CPU" measured on the display of submitted job/task list?

Resolution

This Running Time is measured since the task is submitted. This means that once this task is queued, the ‘counter’ is already running, even if all the worker processes are busy executing other tasks – so this is an overall execution time for this task, including the waiting time in the queue. The start time for this counter is when the task is supposed to run as opposed to when it is actually able to start running.
The secondary value [On CPU] is the period of actual processor utilization [e.g. analytic calculations], as opposed to e.g. waiting for disk access, data from database etc.
