Description

Only the HA primary unit will do the message forwarding/routing even though both nodes will contain the message routing configuration. The behavior of most other LogLogic LMI features is the same when in HA:
  • For scheduled reports on an HA pair of LX appliances, only the primary unit will actually execute the report
  • With an HA pair of ST appliances only the primary unit will actually write to the NAS/SAN
There is an exception to this. An index search can be executed on a standby node to take advantage of what would otherwise be idle resources on the standby appliance.

Issue/Introduction

This article explains how message routing works when appliances are configured in an HA cluster.
