Before you can use the TIBCO Scribe® Online API to access your TIBCO Scribe® Online Organization you must enable API access by creating a security rule for your Organization. You can input an IP address range in the security rule to be specific about what processes can access your Organization through the API.

Setting Security Options
- From the Menu bar select More > Security.
- On the Security dialog, click the Add button (+).
- Add a New API Rule
- Enter one rule at a time using the values you want to use
- Save
- Go back to add each additional rule
- Click the API Access check box for each rule that needs API access.
