What are Beta Nodes?
Beta Nodes are Nodes that are relatively new. The nodes are tested and safe to use. They have not been "validated" as per regulations for pharma industries. 

Statistica beta procedures were removed from showing up in Statistica Node browser in Statistica version 13.4 to prevent a validated user from accidentally creating a workspace with beta procedures. If such regulations don't apply to your company and you'd like to take advantage of these new nodes,the beta procedures can be added back to the node browser. The details are described below: 


 

How to add Beta procedures into Statistica's Node Browser?

Option 1:  If you have no other custom codes or have never imported new nodes into the node browser

​​​​​​1. Download the attached NodeBrowser.xml. 
2. Browse to : C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\StatSoft\STATISTICA\[13.4.0.14.1033 or current version] and rename NodeBrowser.xml as NodeBrowser.xml.bak. If the .xml is not visible, click on View in File Explorer and then enable File Name extensions



3.  Copy the file downloaded to here and then start a new session of Statistica to see the Beta procedures added to Statistica's Node Browser. 

Option 2: If you already have imported nodes (that is not out of the product) but want to view Beta procedures. 

1. Download Beta_Proc_Block.docx from that attachments and copy the contents to clipboard.
2.  Browse to : C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\StatSoft\STATISTICA\[13.4.0.14.1033 or current version] and open with an xml editor of your choice.
3. Find </config> towards the end of this file and then paste the contents of the clipboard that was copied. 

Launching Statistica after the change and opening Node browser will display the Beta procedures in the Node Browser.
