How to add variables before the first variable in the spreadsheet?
Resolution
Select Add Variables from Data|Variables|Add... dialog. In the After box, enter 0, which references the variable number. If the variable number is 0, it effectively means that you are inserting before the first variable.
After OK button, a new variable is inserted before the first variable of spreadsheet.
Note that the name of the new variable is the name specified in the Name box of the Add Variables dialog (in this example, NewVar).
