How to apply an Access Code to update a license file (available only with Statistica 12 or later).

CAUTION:  Access Codes start with either the letter 'U' or the letter 'E' and are 15 alphanumeric characters in length. Access Codes are requested from sales or fulfillment. These are easy to confuse with serial numbers, product keys, network IDs, and install codes.  Please be sure you are using an Access Code.  If unsure, please check the order email, contact your sales representative, or create a support case here.  

If ONLY the license file needs to be extended AND a new order has been processed, an Access Code may be requested by creating a case here.  Please attach license file to the case.  To find you license file, see How to find the Statistica license file (stat.lic).

When provided an Access Code, apply it in one of the following ways depending on the installation type:

DESKTOP INSTALLS (Single-user)

If Statistica  Version 12 is installed or higher and the computer has access to the internet:
1.  With Statistica open, click on File | Help\Support | About Statistica | License Management.
2.  Click on the "Update License" button
3.  Enter the Access Code and click the "Apply Code" button

ALTERNATIVE METHOD
If the desktop does NOT have access to the internet or an is at least version 12 or newer...
1. Save a copy of the license file, stat.lic,  from the Statistica folder to another location so that it can be uploaded. For instance,  save it to a thumb drive.
2. From a computer that does have internet access, please visit the License Update page with a web browser.
3. Fill out the License Update form completely and attach the license file that was saved from your Statistica desktop.
4. Click the "Submit" button.  The updated license file will be created and emailed to the email on the form along with instructions on how to apply the license.


 

NETWORK INSTALLS  (INCLUDES BNET, CNET, AND ENTERPRISE (now known as Statistica Server))

If your Statistica license server has access to the Internet and is at least Version 12:
1. Log in with local administrator permissions on your Statistica license server.
2. From the Start menu, select All Programs | Statistica  | Concurrent License Manager. 
3. Click the "Update License" button.
4. Enter the Access Code, and then click "Apply Code".  The license file will be updated and applied to the server automatically.

ALTERNATIVE METHOD
If your Statistica license server does NOT have access (or has limited access) to the Internet...
1. Save a copy of the license file from the Statistica license server to another location so that it can be uploaded.  For instance,  save it to a thumb drive.
2. From a computer that does have internet access, please visit the License Update page with a web browser.
3. Fill out the License Update form and attach the license file that you saved from your Statistica license server (note that the license from a workstation will NOT work).
4. Click the "Submit" button.  The updated license file will be created and emailed to the email entered in the form along with instructions on how to apply the updated license file to your system.

CAUTION:  An Access Code can only be applied once and only to the license file for which it is associated.   The license file contains the serial number used to generate the Access Code (How to find the Statistica license file (stat.lic)).
