Description
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for Microsoft SharePoint provides "SharePoint HTTP Notification Configuration Management Tool" and "SharePoint Notification Configuration Management Tool".
These tools are deployed on the Microsoft SharePoint server when installing the .NET solution components packaged with the TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for Microsoft SharePoint installer.
"SharePoint HTTP Notification Configuration Management Tool" is used to set up and manage event handler bindings, encrypt/ decrypt the source and destination information, and set the notification types on the Microsoft SharePoint server. After the configuration, the SharePoint REST HTTP Notification Listener activity is triggered when the Microsoft SharePoint operations, such as adding, deleting, updating, and refreshing data occur on the Microsoft SharePoint server.
"SharePoint Notification Configuration Management Tool" is used to set up and manage event handler bindings, configure the JMS connection and destination information, and set the notification types on the Microsoft SharePoint server. After the configuration, the SharePoint Notification Listener activity is triggered when the Microsoft SharePoint operations, such as adding, deleting, updating, and refreshing data occur on the Microsoft SharePoint server.
To use these tools, it is necessary to deploy .NET Solutions on the On-Premise SharePoint Server. Steps of deploying .NET solutions are as below:
1 Navigate to TIBCO_HOME/bw/palettes/sharepoint/version_number/dotnetsolutions/server version/deployment directory.
2 Right-click on the Windows batch file associated with the SharePoint solution application which you want to install and click Run as administrator. The solution is now deployed on the On-Premise SharePoint server.
To check if the solution is deployed successfully:
Click Start > All Programs > Microsoft SharePoint Products > SharePoint Central Administration.
On the Central Administration page, navigate to System Settings > Farm Management, and click Manage farm solutions. A page opens with .wsp extension, deployment status and scope of deployment. The name of the solution shows if it is deployed.
Navigate to "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_64" and check for 4 assemblies inside the folders named Tibco.SharePointBW.Common, Tibco.SharePointBW.Webparts, Tibco.SharePointBW.EventHandler,Tibco.SharePointBW.WCF.Custom
If the plugin is migrated from an old version, make sure that all the three farm solutions are removed from the farm by running the bat file present in "TIBCO_HOME/bw/palettes/sharepoint/version_number/dotnetsolutions/server version/undeployment". If the solutions don't get removed for some reason, manually remove the solutions from the central administration page.
At any point of time if the farm doesn't respond with deploying or undeploying the solutions, restart the SharePoint Administration service from services.msc.
The deployment/undeployment logs can be found under deployment/undeployment folders. If the logs could not be found for some reason, please run the installation/un-installation bat files from command prompt. In this scenario, logs are printed onto the console.
