Description

How to create Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) Curve in Generalized Linear Logistic Regression in TIBCO Statistica?

Issue/Introduction

This article explains how to create Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) Curve in Generalized Linear Logistic Regression in TIBCO Statistica

Environment

Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 R2, and Windows Server 2016

Resolution

In order to create Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) Curve in Generalized Linear Logistic Regression, open TIBCO Statistica instance and import the example data set Crabs.sta from C:\Program Files\Statistica\Statistica 13\Examples\Datasets

Navigate to Statistics Tab|Advanced Models|Generalized Linear/NonLinear models and chose the Logit model located under the Quick tab:

Select the required variables for the Generalized Linear Logistic Regression model, i.e.:

Specify all the response codes for the dependent variable Y and click OK.

Once GLZ Results window appear, navigate to Residuals 1 tab and click on the ROC curve button:

Note:TIBCO Statistica makes ROC curves within analysis tools. In this example we did a logistic regression model (this can also be done with neural network model) and produced a ROC curve on the results of this analysis. This can also be used with our Rapid deployment tool. Once the model is built in TIBCO Statistica we can deploy it on new data using "rapid deployment"  and create a ROC curve.
