What is a Gantt Chart:
A Gantt chart, commonly used in project management, is one of the most popular and useful ways of showing activities (tasks or events) displayed against time. On the left of the chart is a list of the activities and along the X axis is a suitable time scale. Each activity is represented by a bar; the position and length of the bar reflects the start date, duration and end date of the activity. So a Gantt chart shows you what has to be done (the activities) and when (the schedule).

Step 1. Add a data table using File > Add data table from the current existing Main data table on which you want to build a Gantt chart. In Transformations, perform the Unpivot operation. (See AddDataTable.PNG attached).
Step 2. In the Unpivot window, add the Activities columns which you want to show the values in the Y axis of the Gantt chart, in "Column to Pass through", example ProspectName in the attached DXP. (See UnPivotDataTransformation.PNG).
Step 3. Add the date columns which you want to show in the line in the Gantt chart X axis, in "columns to transform" such as ExpSpud and ExpCompletion in the attached DXP.

Step 4. Add a scatter plot on the new unpivoted table where the Y Axis is the Activities columns (ProspectName) and the X Axis is the new date Value column.
Step 5. In scatter plot properties, add a line connection by Activities columns (ProspectName) as well. Set the line width to the maximum to broaden the line. (See ScatterPlotSettings.PNG).
