This document show how to create an Impala 2.6.4 datasource in Tibco Data Virtualization (TDV)
Resolution
Steps to create a custom adapter in TDB 7.0.8 for Impala 2.6.4
1. Select Impala 2.0 as parent adapter
2. Then edit the connection URL pattern.
Old URL pattern: dbc:hive2://<HOST>:<PORT>/<DATABASE_NAME>;auth=noSasl
Update to new URL pattern: jdbc:impala://<HOST>:<PORT>/<DATABASE_NAME>;auth=noSasl
3. Old driver class name: org.apache.hive.jdbc.HiveDriver
Update to new driver class name: com.cloudera.impala.jdbc41.Driver
4. Assuming you name the custom adapter as impala_264, then place the single jar (ImpalaJDBC41.jar) under this location: /TDV_Server_7.0/conf/adapters/custom/impala_264
5. Restart the server.
