Description

Statistica Dump file contains a snapshot of the current state of the Statistica application.  For more information about Task Manager .DMP files please see  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/debugger/task-manager-live-dump

Typically a dump file would be needed when Statistica hangs or freezes with possibly a message like  "Statist.exe has stopped working."  Statistica may not necessarily provide a message but just hang or freeze for an indefinite period of time.

Below are the steps to create dump file to capture details of Statistica application.

Environment

Resolution

1. Go to Taskbar.

2. Right-click on Taskbar and click on Task Manager.

3. On the Processes tab, Right click on the Statistica application and click on Create Dump File.

4. Once you click on the create dump file, a file will be generated with the path of where it is saved:

5. Go the location and send the file (statist.DMP) to the support team to investigate.

Note:  The statist.DMP file may be vary large.  If so, compress the file (right-click>>Send To>>Compressed (zipped) folder).  Then upload the file to the case at https://support.tibco.com  If there isn't a case already created, please create and submit a case.
