Non-Interactive filters can be defined on a number of fields in a data configuration. After defining the SQL query for a data configuration, follow the below steps to create a non-interactive filter.
1) Identify the field that should be used as a filter in the data configuration.
2) Expand the tree view on the left, select the field and change the target type of the field/variable to a "Label"
3) Click on 'Filtering' (Alternatively ,select 'Filter options' in the tree view in the left pane) and enable filtering by enabling the 'Enabled' checkbox and the 'SQL criteria' checkbox.
4) Commit the changes. Exploring the data configuration will now bring up a 'Data/Data Entry Setup - Explore' dialog that will have an option add filtering criteria while exploring data.
5) All Analysis configurations that are dependent on this data configuration ( Analysis configurations created off this data) will now have a criteria section in the expanded tree view of the analysis configuration where filtering criteria for the analysis configuration can be specified. Selecting criteria in the analysis configuration will perform the analysis only on data that meets the filtering criteria specified.
NOTE: An Ad-hoc analysis configuration can be created to bring back data with filtering criteria applied.
