Description

This article provides details on how to enable DEBUG for specific DSN(s) created with the Windows ODBC driver of TIBCO Data Virtualization (TDV).

Issue/Introduction

This document discusses an easy way to enable the Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) driver debugging in 8.x and later for a specific DSN in Microsoft Windows.

Environment

Windows Operating System

Resolution

Follow the below steps:
(1) Double-click on the DSN created in the "ODBC Data Source Administrator".
(2) Navigate to the 'Trace' panel and provide the following details:
Trace level: debug. [This can also be set to 'All' for highly verbose logging]
Trace file path: provide a path to a location on the Windows machine and include a file name.
Note: You do not need to create this file in the provided path - it will get created automatically.
Log file size: The maximum allowed size of the file.
(3) To test: Click on 'Test connection' button in the DSN and check if the ODBC DEBUG log file is created in the Trace File Path set.
