How to export a Windows Event Log so I can send it to TIBCO Statistica support?
 

Issue/Introduction

This article discusses how to export the Windows Event Log, in general, and specifically for Statistica errors.

Environment

Windows operating systems only.

Resolution

1. Open the Event Viewer. This can be done through the menu or by using the Run dialog.

2. Select the 'Windows Logs' folder, then select 'Application':

 

3. Right-click 'Application' and select 'Clear Log..' to clear out the log:

4. Reproduce the error.

5. Return to the Event Viewer. Press F5 to refresh the Application log. Right-click again and select  'Save All Events As...' and save the events as an .evt or .evtx file.
