Description

When using a Statistica English version on a machine using a non-English language, the graph axis may show commas instead of dots. 

For example, Statistica can import Excel data.  Below, is an example of Excel data that has decimal data:

When importing Excel data into Statistica, where Statistica is an English version and the OS language is set to Italian (for example), the Statistica spreadsheet interprets the decimal point as a comma:

The corresponding histogram then displays the axis labels in comma format:

Issue/Introduction

This article discusses what changes are to be made so that the graph axis labels display correctly when an English version of Statistica is installed on a non-English OS or using a non-English OS.

Environment

Windows operating systems only. Windows 7 and higher.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, change the format via Windows Control Panel-->Region to English (United States) or its equivalent in the non-english language:

Change Regional language setting format to English

Now the graph will axis labels will display in decimal format:
