When an analysis file containing a table visualization is opened in a TIBCO Spotfire client (both installed clients, such as Analyst, or web clients), the first/top rows might not necessarily be shown. In order to make sure the first/top rows, based on a specific column, are shown the file needs to be saved with sorting set on the column in question.
Issue/Introduction
When an analysis file containing a table visualization is opened in a TIBCO Spotfire client (installed or web), the first/top rows might not necessarily be shown. In order to make sure the first/top rows, based on a specific column, are shown the file needs to be saved with sorting based on that column.
Environment
Windows
Resolution
To sort based on a specific column:
1. Left-click on the column you wish to sort by, in this example "Total amount of Purchases". A small window is automatically shown:
2. Choose ascending (arrow up)/descending(arrow down) according to your wishes.
3. Save the file locally and/or to the library. 4. Next time the file is opened the first/top rows will be shown.
