Description

When a Parallel upgrade is being performed in TDV, the two versions running simultaneously would access the same external databases. When a View / Table set associated with the external database is being cached in TDV, there 'may' be issues when the cache refresh begins.

Resolution

In-order to refrain "Cache Refresh" being triggered from both the TDV instances that are running in parallel, enable the configuration 'Disable Cache Refreshes' for one of the TDV instance based on the testing needs. This configuration is available under TDV Studio > Administration > Configuration > Server > Configuration > Debugging (This configuration is disabled by default).

About this configuration: This is a Global Level setting and when enabled the TDV Server will ignore all subsequent Cache Refreshes. For example, the TDV instance with this configuration enabled will display the Current Server time as the 'Status - Last Updated' and the last time when cache refresh was being performed as the 'Last Load time'. The Last Refresh for all Cache Resources can be monitored from the Manager -> Cache Resources page.
