MAS logs located at C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\MAS\ do not have sufficient detail to debug the issue

How to increase the logging level for MAS ?

Environment

Windows, MAS Configuration

Resolution

To increase logging level for MAS, logon to the MAS Server and follow the below steps:

1. Launch the MAS Configuration utility from the Start | all Programs | Statistica | MAS Configuration.

2. Change the Log level (LOGTRACE_LEV) to TRACE

3. Click on File | Save. You will see a prompt that indicates the changes have been saved to MASConfig.xml file.

4. Re-start the MASMonitorService from Control Panel | System and Security | Administrator Tools | Services . Trace level logs will be available in the location C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\MAS\ on the MAS server.
