Description

When you are using document property in the custom expressions of the cell values in Cross table, we get to see different behavior in 6.5 version and in 7.5 & later versions if we change the header width of the columns. In 6.5 and above, the header width remains same if we change the input value from the property control. However, in 7.5 and higher versions, the header width is set to default for the same operation.

Issue/Introduction

How to keep a constant column header width when using a document property in column name alias in cross table.

Resolution

Follow the below mentioned steps as a workaround to have similar functionality in 7.5 & higher version:
  1. Hold down CTRL and then click to resize a column to set a new width for all existing columns. Set the width to the width you want the property controlled column to have.
  2. Resize other static columns to the desired width.

Result:

Changing the property will update the column but its width will remain unchanged.

The behavior has changed for the column headers. Their width can now be individually changed and the column width is determined by the column name. When using CTRL to set the width, all previous widths are reset and a new default is set.
