This article details how to make a line plot when there is missing/gap data on the continuous variable of the y axis.

Resolution

1.Open the data spreadsheet in Statistica (in this example data, the Y values are missing for Month =  3, 4, 5 )

2. Under Statistica "Graphs" tab, select "2D | Line plots (Variables...)"

3. Select "Advanced" tab in the "2D Line Plots" graph dialog and select "XY Trace" as the Graph type

4. Under "Advanced" tab, click "Variables" to choose X and Y variable and then click "OK"

5. Click "Ok" again in the graph dialog to generate the plot
