Description
How to ensure that samples entered for a specific in a Data Entry Setup (DES) is unique ? For the purpose of this example, we will assume that Shipment ID in the Data Entry Setup shown below is the label/input that is expected to have unique values for all samples.
Resolution
1. Launch Enterprise Manager and navigate to the Data Entry Setup(DES)
2. Expand the DES and click on Inputs
3. Double click on the Input that needs to be marked unique. For this example, we will double click on Shipment ID. Alternatively, you may also select the input and then click on Edit in the right.
4. Enable "Verify label value is unique for this Data Entry Setup on sample save" as shown above . Click OK
5. Save the changes to Enterprise by clicking on Commit on the top left. If you have a SDMS (Statistica Document Version Management) enabled environment, enter reason for change and click OK.
After this change, subsequent users will not be allowed to enter duplicate values for this input. If they do, they will see an error as shown below :
