Description

We want need to migrate all the Network Analytic networks and user information to a new server.  How can this be done?

Environment

Windows operating systems. Server installs only.

Resolution

The Network Analytics folder, a sub-folder of the Statistica application folder, contains all the Network Analytics information.  The databases folder contains user login information and the network databases, both the example databases and the user created databases.  So to migrate data to a new server, follow these steps:

Note:  The following steps assume the installation of Statistica Server on the new server has been completed.

1.  Stop both the Statistica Network Analytics service and the Statistica OrientDB service on both the old and new servers:

Network Analytics services

2.  Copy the databases sub-folder from the old server to the new server (default location is <local drive>:\Program Files\Statistica\Statistica 13\Network Analytics\):

databases folder location

3.  Paste the databases folder into the Network Analytics folder and select "Replace" or "Replace All."

4. Restart the Statistica Network Analytics service and the OrientDB service on the new server.

Migration is now complete. The network databases and the user information will match that of the old server.

Additional Information:  The _sAppsInfo folder, a sub-folder of the databases folder, is the meta-data database which contains information about the users and networks.
