1. Click File|New|Dashboard

2. Click "New Data Table" button to prompt the "Statistica Dashboards" dialog

3. Select "Statistica Spreadsheet" under File/URL as the data source

4. Navigate to Statistica example folder to select Stocks.sta data

5. Once the data is open in dashboard, click "Transform" to prompt the "Datasource - Transforms" dialog 

6. Select "Transform to enable time series analysis" , select Date variable to define time axis value and click "OK"

7. Click "OK" in the Data Table Editing View

8. Draw a rectangle in the dashboard and select the Time series line plot

9. Drag the variable "STOCK1" under "Height" and a line plot showing the STOCK1 value across Date will be generated

Note: if you have another categorical variable, you can drag it under "Breakdown" to break the single line into multiple lines grouped by the categorical variable. To color code the groups, also drag the same categorical variable under "color" (limited to 7 color by default and can be edited up to 20 colors )
