1. Download and Install PI SDK as detailed in the OSISoft Site ( if it is not already installed ). Specify the default PI server if it is known.

Launch Statistica and open a new workspace by clicking on Home>>New>>Workspace . You may select a blank template with no data sources.
3. Select the PI tab and pick to use the Batch database nodes to query PI historian as required . In other words select one of -Compressed, Interpolated, Summary or Timed nodes depending on the kind of data intended to be queried.
4. Click on the gear icon to open the parameters of the node and select Edit parameters.Click on PI Logon and connect to the PI Server. If default PI server was not specified during step 1 of PI SDK installation . This can be done by clicking on Server >> Add Server
5. Click on Tag search>>Search and enter search criteria and select the tags and select OK. Optionally enter more filtering criteria and select OK. Run the node by clicking on the green triangle to bring data from PI historian into TIBCO Statistica workspace.
Add other analytic nodes as required to process and analyze data from OSISoft PI Historian.
