Description
When setting up NTLM authentication, a prerequisite is to set up an account which can be done by running the vbscript (setupWizard.vbs) provided with the Spotfire server installation available in the {ServerInstallation}/tomcat/bin directory.
Issue/Introduction
This article provides a resolution for the permission denied error an end user miay receive when running the script to setup an account for NTLM.
Resolution
User running the setupWizard.vbs script must be a part of "Account Operators" or "Domain Administrators" groups on the domain. If they are not, the script will throw a "Permission Denied..." error.
