Issue/Introduction
Statistica server installer might stall while trying to provide DCOM permissions if it is restricted by a group policy that prevents it from assigning permissions on the server.
Resolution
To get past this point and successfully install Statistica :
1. Open Task Manager in windows and switch to the Detail tab (if on a newer version of windows )or switch to the processes tab (on older versions of Windows) and find the process named dcomperm64.exe and kill the processes. There are up to six dcomperm commands the installer executes, so you may have to kill it multiple times (so keep task manager open and kill as and when these processes come up)
2. After the installation completes, download the attached DCOM.zip and copy it to the application server.
3. Unzip the zip file and edit the file : DcomExecute.bat and replace the Computername variable with your computer name and save the file.
4. Right click on the batch file and choose to Run as administrator.
5. If Errors are observed while running the batch file, they may safely be ignored.
