Description
Description
The ability to run repeated measures ANOVA and correct for covariates without having to choose a categorical predictor was possible in earlier versions of Statistica, but not in newer ones through analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) within General Linear Model (GLM) module.
Cause
The analysis referred to as “analysis of covariance” generally has both a categorical and continuous predictor, and therefore, Statistica forces the user to select at least one of each. Because of this, when leaving the categorical predictor selection blank, Statistica will show you a warning message:

Resolution
Resolution
Open Statistica
On the 'File' tab, go to 'Open Examples'
Navigate to Datasets, select Adstudy.sta and click Open. This will import our example dataset where we will demostrate how to run a repeated measures analysis & to correct for covariates without having to choose a categorical predictors.
Go to 'Statistics' Tab and under the 'Advanced/Multivariate' section, choose 'Advanced Models'.
Select General Linear Model (GLM)
6. Select the Dependent variables on the left, leave the Continuous factors blank, and select Continuous predictors on the right. Click OK.
This will allow the user to perform the exact same analysis as in earlier versions of Statistica.
