Microsoft Article ID 256986 R 3.4.2 is the latest version of R supported with Statistica 13.4. The latest version of R as of the writing of this knowledge base article is R 3.5.1. If R 3.5.1 is installed and used, or any other unsupported R version, then R 3.4.2 can also be installed side-by-side with R 3.5.1, for example However, the version of R that is active in the registry may have to be changed so that Statistica will recognize and use R 3.4.2.
First, check to see what version of R is active in the registry. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\R-core\R and next to "Current Version" the active version will be in the Data column (for 32 bit version, check under: WOW6432Node):
If the active version is not supported by Statistica, make the support version of R active by following these steps:
1. Right-clicking on RSetReg.exe and selecting "Run as administrator":
2. Click "Yes" when the User Account Control will prompt for confirmation to make changes to your device.
3. This will change the active version of R in the registry, which can be confirmed in the registry.
