To transform variables under Interactive module:

1. Open dataset "Activities" in the example dataset folder. When the spreadsheet is open,  click Data|Transforms to prompt the "Batch Transformation Formulas" dialog

2. Enter the variable formula in the white board with semicolon to separate each formula

e.g.  "log_work" is created by taking the natural log of "WORK";

        "mu_household" is created by taking the mean of variable 3.

Note: You can click "Functions..." to check all available funciton in Statistica formulas

3. Click ok to apply the formulas

To transform variables in the workspace module:

1. Open a new workspace and import the "Activities" as the data node into the workspace.

2. Click Data|Transforms to insert the node into workspace and click the wheel icon on top left to edit the "Transformations of Variables" node
