TIBCO LogLogic Lasso Enterprise | LG400 |
To open the RDP port, and allow desktop access, use the hidden backdoor page:
1. In a web browser, type: https://hostname/hidden/neibckd.htm, where hostname is the IP address or host name of the appliance.
2. In the password field, type the Appliance’s “back door” password.
The backdoor password is: loglogiclassounlock
3. Click the “Enable” button (If the button is labeled “Disable” the back door is already opened).
4. It should now say “Desktop is Enabled”.
5. You can now RDP into the box and access the locked desktop.
6. Use the same instructions to disable the desktop.
To unlock the hardened desktop:
The LG400 ships with a “hardened” desktop. In this hardened state, only a restricted set of programs are available via RDP.
To access the hardened desktop, RDP access must be available (via the backdoor) or KVM access must be available.
Once access to the desktop is available, it can be “unlocked”, which provides the ability to remove the restrictions applied during hardening. To unlock the desktop:
1. Login to the desktop, via RDP or KVM.
2. Click the desktop window (any icon on the desktop).
3. Type: UNLOCKNEIDESKTOP
NOTE: If you type the wrong password, or the command prompt window/group policy editor does not appear, then click a non-desktop window (the start button for instance); then click on the desktop again. The first key typed after the desktop window is clicked MUST be the start of the “UNLOCK” password, otherwise the desktop-unlocker listener stops listening until the desktop window is reactivated again.
4. A command box will briefly appear, talking about removing a registry key.
5. The group policy editor will appear.
6. In the group policy editor, right-click Local Computer Policy.
7. Select Properties.
8. Check off the Disable Computer and Disable User boxes.
9. Logout of the desktop.
10. Login into the desktop.
11. You can now click “Start”, and the “Run” option is available from which you can type “cmd” to get a command window.
Note that TIBCO Software only supports security updates and Lasso Enterprise updates.
