This article describes how you can manually upgrade the Java version in TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services (TSSS).

Resolution

  1. Stop the TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services (TSSS) service.
  2. The /jre directory inside the <TSSS installation directory> is an off-the-shelf copy of the Java JRE. Remove (or rename) the existing /jre directory.
  3. Download the desired Java version from the vendor's website.
  4. Extract the downloaded file. Here you will find an 'jre' directory.
  5. Copy the 'jre' directory into the <TSSS installation directory> directory.
  6. Start the TSSS service.
NOTE: Ensure the Java version is compatible with your TSSS version. Refer to the system requirements:
