The following steps, below, show version 13.3.0 but the process is similar for version 13.3.1 (or any 13.3.x) version.
Desktop Upgrades 1. Download the installer files through the eDelivery website. There isn't a upgrade installer, like with prior versions, but the full installer is used to upgrade. See
Where and how to download Statistica 13.3 installer files.
2. Unzip the TIB_stat_13.3.0_win file by right clicking on the file and select "Extract All...":
3. Close any open application, go to the folder, by default it will have the same name as the zipped file, and double-click the
CDSTART application
: 4. Click the "Install" button to Install any requirements, if necessary (if prompted to reboot, select "Yes"):
5. Check the upgrade box and click the "Next" button:
Important Note: Leaving the upgrade box unchecked will install Statistica 13.3.0 side-by-side with the existing version. This is not recommended as Statistica may not work properly.
6. Click the "Install" button:
7. Depending on the system speed and resources, the installer will complete between 5 to 10:
8. Click the "Finish" button to complete:
Network Installs (Concurrent Borrowing and Enterprise) IMPORTANT NOTES:
- The upgrade installer will only upgrade the server component of a network install. Workstations/clients are upgraded only from the server after the server upgrade has completed.
- For Statistica Enterprise installations, It is highly recommended to perform a backup of the Statistica Enterprise metadata database before upgrading.
For network installs, the steps in the SERVER (Part 1) must be performed first, only then can the steps in the WORKSTATION/CLIENTS (Part 2) be followed:
SERVER (Part 1)
1. Download the installer files through the eDelivery website. There isn't a upgrade installer, like with prior versions, but the full installer is used to upgrade. See

2. Copy the zipped file to the server with the Statistica application files:
3. Unzip the file to any location, keeping the same name if possible:
4. Browse to the unzipped folder and double-click on CDSTART to launch the installer:
5. Click the "Install" button to Install any requirements, if necessary:
6. Click to check the upgrade box and then click the "Next" button:
7. Click the "Install" button:
8. Depending on the system speed, resources, and the size of the install, the installer will complete between 10 and 20 minutes:
9. Once complete, a notification will appear. Click the "OK" button:
10. Click the "Finish" button to finish:
11. Click "Yes" to restart:
Steps 12 through 14 only apply to Enterprise installs: 12.
(Enterprise only) When Statistica is launched for the first time after the upgrade, the enterprise metadata database must be upgraded. Click the "Yes" button:

(Enterprise Only) Click the "Yes" button to upgrade if a backup of database has been performed already. Otherwise please click the "No" button and perform a back up of the metadata database, then launch Statistica again and click the "Yes" button:

(Enterprise Only) A successful dialog should appear:
Workstation (Part 2) To upgrade individual workstations, follow these steps:
1. Share the Statistica 13 folder on the server with read-only permissions
2. Logon to the workstation and run the setup.exe from the Workstation Installer 64 (or 32) folder (a sub-folder of the Statistica 13 shared folder):
3. The installer will detect an existing Statistica install. Check the box to upgrade the current install:
The upgrade will uninstall and then install 13.3.x.
Note: For current installs of 13.1 or below, uninstall the current version through
Control Panel | Programs and Features. Then perform a clean install by running setup.exe in the Workstation Installer 64 (or 32) folder, a sub-folder of the Statistica 13 shared from the server.
