Yes, it is possible to use previously used "publishing tables" and "triggers" which was generated by TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for Database 7.x, with the "TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for Database 8.x"
Test for reference:
Create a project in TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database 7.x and configure publication service with source table as "Test" and create a P_table as "P_Test_common" using the adapter.
Start the TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database 7.x adapter, then publication service is started polling.
Then, In TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.x, create another project using TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for Database 8.x
In the project, use the same database which is used in TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for Database 7.x project.
Configure JDBC connection activity and also configure "ADBConfigurationResource".
In the "ADBConfigurationResource--> Schemas", in the DBPOLLAR->add the DBpollar1. Then configure the same source table and set the P_table as "P_Test_common" for DBpollar1.
Then, in the TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.x process, configure "DataEventPoller" activity as:
Configuration Resource: ADBConfigurationResource
Schema: DBpollar1
Because of the need to use old "P_table" which is "P_Test_common", do not select/click "Generate Trigger" and "Apply Trigger" option.
Run the process and the process executed without any error after inserting data in source table "Test".
