Issue/Introduction
How to view/query data that was entered in Statistica Data Entry Form?
Resolution
METHOD 1:
1. Launch Enterprise Manager and ensure that in System Options>>Data Entry that a Default database connection is defined to point to the Statistica Enterprise meta database. If you do not have permissions, request a System administrator to assist with creating a database connection that points to Statistica Enterprise metadatabase and for configuring System Options>>Data Entry>>Default database connection for creating Data Configurations off Data Entry Setup(DES).
2. Right click on the Data Entry Setup and click "New Data Configuration off this Data Entry Setup" . Look at the Data configuration options and choose other appropriate options such as "Include Sample Statuses in Query" / "Retrieve only Approved status sample" /"Retrieve only completed Status"
You may also want to evaluate other options such as as "Order Characteristics and Inputs as defined in DE Setup"
METHOD 2:
Assuming a user has permissions to to create a data configuration (DADM) and has an existing Database connection that points to meta database or has External Database Admin permissions to create a database connection (EXTDB_ADM) but no System administrator (SADM) permissions to view/set System Options>>Data Entry or has no way of contacting System Administrator to set this option, this alternate method may come in handy.
1. Create a database connection to point to the Statistica meta database that Statistica installer was pointed to. See : https://support.tibco.com/s/article/How-to-Connect-to-Databases-and-Query-Datasets-in-Enterprise-Manager, if a database connection does not exist already.
2. Right click on the folder where the data configuration off the Data Entry Setup is to be created and select "Create New Data Configuration". Give the data configuration an appropriate name. Choose the database connection that points to Statistica meta database and then click on the New button next to Queries.
3. Select Source Data Entry Setup and then click on "Sync Now" as shown below. Define the access Permissions and click Yes in the dialog that asks if CreateDate can be marked as the First Update field and click on commit on the top left corner of Statistica Enterprise to save the changes.
