Issue/Introduction

Importing SAS file throws error message: "Problem in openOrImportData(file = file, type = type, rowsToRead = rowsToR..: Problem with reading dictionary of format file. Some of mandatory variables have not been found. Processing will be stopped."

Environment

Product: TIBCO Spotfire S+ Version: All supported versions OS: All supported operating systems --------------------

Resolution

The problem is that there is another SAS format file in the same directory as the SAS file you are trying to import.

Move the SAS file to an empty directory before attempting to import the file into S+.
