Description

After you have added the correct JDBC-drivers JAR file for your database in the <Spotfire Server installation directory>/tomcat/lib folder, then created an information link, you find that the data being loaded into Spotfire from the database is incorrect or contains junk values.

This can be caused by having an older version of the database's JAR file for JDBC on the Spotfire Server in the <Spotfire Server installation directory>/tomcat/webapps/spotfire/WEB-INF/lib folder.

Issue/Introduction

Information link gives incorrect or junk values from the database.

Resolution

Delete the older-version JAR file from the <Spotfire Server installation directory>/tomcat/webapps/spotfire/WEB-INF/lib folder. Note that renaming or archiving the JAR file is not enough. It must be removed entirely from the Spotfire Server installation folder tree.
