Is the standalone Spotfire Statistics Services server (TSSS) still available when using Spotfire 14.0 or later? 

This article reports that the installable standalone Spotfire Statistics Services server (TSSS Server) has been discontinued, and it is not available for use with Spotfire 14.0 LTS or later. It has been replaced by the TERR Service (TERRSRV) and the R Service (RSRV).

No, there is no installable Spotfire Statistics Services 14.0.x (or later) server product. 

That installable product has been discontinued, and its final release was TSSS 12.3.1.

Starting with version 14.0.0, the "Spotfire Statistics Services" product bundle contains three components. 

Those components are the installation media (*.sdn files to be deployed in Spotfire Server) for the following products:

- TERR Service (TERRSRV)
- Python Service (PYSRV)
- R Service (RSRV)



Purchase of that "Spotfire Statistics Services" product bundle provides the Entitlement that enables download of TERRSRV, PYSRV and/or RSRV from eDelivery.

Note: the Entitlement for "TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services" is the same entitlement as "Spotfire Statistics Services".



For example, the Spotfire Statistics Services 14.0.2 LTS download bundle contains the following three components:

- Spotfire Service for R Software (v 1.17.2)
- Spotfire Enterprise Runtime for R - Server Edition Software (v 1.17.2)
- Spotfire Service for Python Software (v 1.17.2)



For Spotfire data functions that use TERR scripts, you will need to deploy the TERR Service (Spotfire Enterprise Runtime for R - Server Edition). 

If any of your Spotfire data functions use open-source R scripts that you have been sending to a standalone TSSS/R instance, you will also need to deploy the R Service (Spotfire Service for R).
