Issue/Introduction

This article confirms that SAML authentication is not supported out of the box for Spotfire. We support using OIDC for web authentication. But you can write a custom authenticator for use with external authentication, following an example from the Spotfire community.

Environment

All supported operating systems.

Resolution

You can find an example of how to setup Spotfire to use SAML in the following Spotfire community article:

https://community.spotfire.com/articles/spotfire/saml2-integration-spotfire-example-shibboleth/

If you have questions about that example, you can post a question in the Spotfire community.
