Resolution
Starting from Spotfire version 7.10 ,a new feature to cancel the in-progress scheduled updates has been implemented.
1)Login to Spotfire Server Admin UI
2)Navigate to Scheduling & Routing ->Activity and expand the Scheduled update you would like to cancel .
3) Click on the 'Cancel' button
